[Australian Cards]

On the 10th of September 1994, Lost in Space Australia (LISA) released the first five cards of a proposed set of 40 cards to club members who attended the convention held that day at the Bankstown Sports Club. Significantly these cards are not reprints of the original Topps 1966 card set but a totally new black & white set designed by the club. Depicted on the front of the cards are digitized images from the TV series. On the back of each card is a trivia question with the answers being found on the back of an alternate card. The cards were issued without a wrapper.

Because of copyright restrictions the cards could not be sold outright. Instead they were initially made available only to members who attended LISA meetings. In early 1995 however the policy was changed and special arrangements were made for members outside of Sydney and foreign subscribers. By making a donation of $25.00 to the club, members outside of Sydney could receive the first 15 cards of the set of 40. After this further donations would be made to complete the set as and when they became available.
